Technical specification
- The Type M adapter has three rounded pins (topmost larger one is a grounding pin) arranged in a triangular shape with pins longer and thicker in dimension than those of the Type D Adapter.
- Make sure you do not mistakenly try to jam your Type M Adapter into a Type D socket thinking that it will fit because of their identical shapes.
- Some countries with Type D sockets use Type M sockets for larger appliances needing greater ratings and so you might find Type M sockets in countries where Type D adapters are generally used.
- Type M adapters are rated 220-240 V and 15 A.
